WINsday Inspiration

A battery doesn’t lose power because it’s weak. The car lights are left on too long or something called parasitic battery drain. Which is one of the most common causes mechanics diagnose.

Your energy works the same way. Have you even woke up fully charged...hopeful, ready, focused, and encouraged? You start the day at 100 percent and by dinner time you on 3 percent looking for a charger and a prayer.

Some people are parasitic drains. They are the friend who always calls with stress but never listens or checks on you. The relative who only shows up when they need something. The coworker who drops negativity in your spirit like trash in a bin. They are not always dramatic. They are just constant. And constant drains empty powerful people. Little by little your patience is pulled. Your peace is borrowed. Your attention is hijacked. But by the end of the day your emotional battery is dead. Not because you are weak but

because something or someone has been draining your power all day.

Mechanics fix parasitic drain by doing two things. They identify what is pulling power.

Then they disconnect it. The same is true with life. You have to notice who drains your clarity, who drains your peace and who drains your motivation and faith. Then decide what and who stays connected. Because even the strongest battery cannot survive constant parasitic pull. Your energy is not unlimited. Protect it like the power source it is. You need better connections. When you protect your energy and set boundaries, you will learn to stop feeling guilty for disconnecting. When you do, something begins to shift. Something shifts. Your mind gets clearer. Your peace returns. Your strength lasts longer. And you stop seeking the wrong places to plug in for a quick jump start.

As a keynote speaker, author, and Life Coach I don't tell women what to do. I help them SEE themselves. I teach women how to break the pattern of being strong for everyone else… and finally learn how to receive support themselves. I help women move from being strong and unseen ...to being aware and supported without shame or judgement.
