Today's message is below or listen to the above video.
I have lived through some very tight, dark, lonely, and frightening seasons. Some came from my own poor choices. Some came because life was simply doing what life does; surgery, car accidents, grief from the loss of my mother, father, son, friends, and family, financial stress, marriage and parenting ups and downs, business setbacks from Covid, dreams delayed, and days when I wanted to give up.
There were times I could not imagine how I was going to recover, adapt, or ever find a way to forgive or have joy again. If someone had told me, "You're going to make it. God is going to open a door. You're not going to lose your mind," I don't think I could have believed them. My faith was still growing, and fear and grief didn't have to knock very hard to shake me.
I've learned that darkness and shiFT happens and can show up fast...one phone call, one diagnosis, one loss, one betrayal, and suddenly your whole world changes. Meanwhile, everybody else's life seems to keep moving while you're just trying to breathe, get out of bed, and believe you'll feel like yourself again. If that's where you are today, I want you to know you're not weak, and you're not alone. I have walked through those dark places too.

Life may never be the same, but meaning, purpose, connection, and joy can return. I am living proof that even after the darkest nights, healing comes, strength returns, and God still knows how to make a way where you cannot yet see one. I've learned that growth usually gets our attention one of two ways. Through inspiration or through desperation. Most of us would choose inspiration, but if we're honest, it was often the painful seasons that changed us the most...the seasons we never would have chosen. The majority of my work and purpose is about the power of women and holding space for one another through grief, illness, life's unexpected turns, sisterhood, resilience, various female seasons, reclaiming one's voice, cultivating worthiness, faith, courage, and the healing that can happen when women share their stories. I found the process to heal was messassary so I could experience a new normal. It's easier than done...but it is possible.
I see myself as a modern-day griot, a keeper of stories, wisdom, and hope. I hold space for women to remember who they are, make peace with where they have been, and believe in the possibilities that still lie ahead.
I have seen in my life and other women who have been resilient, recovered, and renewed from painful and unexpected situations, and have gone from hell to hallelujah. The most common issues I have seen women, and truthfully me at times, wrestling with these quiet pain points...
Adult children making painful choices.
Estrangement from family members.
Retirement anxiety and financial insecurity.
Losing friends and spouses.
Being the caregiver who no one checks on.
Wondering if they still have purpose.
Carrying childhood wounds into their senior years.
The loneliness that can exist even inside a marriage or a church community.
Expect a miracle, but also prepare for one. Keep praying, keep learning, keep healing, keep showing up. Sometimes the miracle is a door opening. Sometimes it's the strength to walk through it. Keep planting good seeds. Keep believing that one conversation, one opportunity, one answered prayer, one act of courage, or one unexpected blessing can change the direction of your life. Sometimes the miracle isn't that the storm never came. Sometimes the miracle is that you made it through and discovered there was still a harvest waiting for you. A faith/gratitude reset can help you to recognize and receive peace and opportunities that bitterness or hopelessness can overlook.
Expect that life can change in ways you cannot currently see.
Expect that the right person, idea, opportunity, or insight can arrive unexpectedly.
Expect that healing often comes gradually through small moments, faithful actions, and surprising connections.
Expect that what feels like an ending may become a redirection.
