Today's WINsday Inspiration....
We celebrate the blessings that feel good, the new relationship, the raise, the opportunity, the breakthrough, the answered prayer, that right parking space.
But life has another classroom most people don’t talk about. It’s called:“ShiFt happens… I didn’t see THAT coming.”
Some of the greatest growth comes wrapped in disappointment, rejection, endings, and reality checks that hit so hard you just sit there catching your breath and saying REALLY?
I’ve learned this…Some heartbreaks didn’t come to destroy me. They came to wake me up, that relationship/friendship that broke my heart…but finally taught me the difference between love and potential, people who are fake and those who are for real. Everybody clapping for you ain’t necessarily connected to you.
See, we want growth without discomfort. We want wisdom without consequences. We want oil without crushing. We want peace while still answering every call even though they already showed you who they are.
Sometimes life is pruning us...cutting away distractions, illusions, people, habits, and denial. And pruning does not feel spiritual in the moment. But later…you realize your eyes opened up. You became wiser, more discerning, less desperate, less impressed, more comfortable in your own skin, more peaceful. That’s a win.
So yes…If it broke your heart but helped you see clearly... count it as a win.
If you cried, journaled, prayed, went to therapy, drank water, minded your business, stopped chasing emotionally unavailable people, and finally chose yourself…COUNT IT AS A WIN.
Some lessons had to humble us because we were not listening to the small warnings. Life had to pull up a folding chair and say, “Sit down. We need to talk. You may not have gotten what you wanted. But maybe you got awareness, discernment, boundaries, perspective, self-respect, and peace."
So stop counting victories only by what you gained. Some victories are hidden inside what finally woke you up. Because every hard season did not come to destroy you. Some seasons came to introduce you to yourself and so you can see God's grace and power in you, around you, and guiding you. Stay in the light.
