WINsday Inspiration

You also have the option to just spend one day or attend the full reTREAT

"A comfort zone isn’t always a place of comfort. Sometimes it’s just a familiar ditch. We sit up in a rut, wrapping ourselves in the blanket of “at least it’s predictable,” and wondering why our spirit feels so restless.

Because deep down, you know that rut isn't rest. You're sitting in a comfort zone. You're sitting in a hole that you dug with a shovel called depression, grief, heartbreak, exhaustion, loneliness, disappointment, shame, regrets, hurt, or doubt.

Been there, done that. Now let me encourage you to break out of a stagnant season, whether that’s by; getting your health together, leaving a dead-end situation, making that call, decluttering, accepting a social invitation, or stepping into a bigger leadership space. The day you decide "I'm done with this" will feel amazing. You will be hyped! But then comes Tuesday morning. Your bed is warm, your fear is loud, and staying cozy feels a whole lot easier than risking failure. So you stretch out in the rut, turn on the TV, start Tik Tok/Instagram/Facebook/Amazon scrolling, and tell yourself you'll start next Monday. Stop playing.

Procrastination is a thief!  It doesn't just steal your time; it steals your health, faith, purpose, joy, opportunities, blessings, relationships, and peace.

If you stay where it’s safe, you stay where you're stuck. Comfort will bribe you with short-term ease, but it charges a long-term fee: your purpose. You end up praying for a breakthrough while still wrapped in your comfortable blanket. Faith is a verb. You can't just pray with your hands, you have to pray with your feet...get to moving!

As that famous line in The Shawshank Redemption puts it: "Get busy living or get busy dying." Staying in that comfortable rut is just choosing the slow fade.

God doesn't move a parked car, and certainly didn't design you to live in a comfortable box that's way too small for your destiny. The future you keep praying for isn't asking for perfection, it's asking you to climb up out of that ditch and answer one question:
