We exhaust ourselves seeking reasons and explanations for the mysteries and painful experiences in our life. We want our lives to make sense. We can't control other people or circumstances. Wisdom shouts from the streets..."Work on breathing, healing, and releasing consuming thoughts of guilt, regrets, worry, resentment, anger, bitterness, depression, or shame."
If change feels like an uncomfortable process, you’re certainly not alone. ShiFt happens. Change is inevitable. Life is always shifting in one way or another, whether it’s a new baby, a new job, your health and body, a death, the weather, policy changes, the economy, retirement, technology, or a divorce.
It’s understandable to feel resistance toward new changes. My intention with my keynote messages, books, counseling/coaching, and DiaMIND INNERversity Sunday master classes is to impart tried and true wisdom nuggets to inspire others how to adapt, strengthen their faith, courage, confidence, and resilience, and learn how to change their perspective to develop a sense of opportunities, hope, a sense of safety, and emotional wellness. Learning to connect with others for personal, spiritual, professional, and emotional development can give you bounce-back-ability. Do you have healthy and inspiring social connections to keep you growing? Do you have faith fatigue or do you have spiritual practices to anchor your faith? Is your mind full of helpful or hurting thoughts? What books are you reading? Below are suggested books to read to empower you to adapt to life changes...
“When Things Fall Apart: Heart Advice for Difficult Times” by Pema Chödrön
ShiFT Happens by Jewel Diamond Taylor
“No Mud, No Lotus: The Art of Transforming Suffering” by Thich Nhat Hanh
“Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience, and Finding Joy” by Sheryl Sandberg and Adam M. Grant
“Who Moved My Cheese? An A-Mazing Way to Deal with Change in Your Work and in Your Life” by Spencer Johnson
What does the Bible say about worrying about things you cannot change? “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." Isaiah 43:18-19
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." - Jeremiah 29:11
