“Sometimes the hardest box to leave is your mind… and your comfort zone. But sis, when you do...everything changes. I was born in Washington, D.C., grew up in Compton, and raised my two sons in Cerritos. It was in that season of motherhood, survival, and soul-searching that I began to grow. Slowly but surely, I started to climb out of the box of who I thought I had to be... and stepped into who I was meant to be.

I know what it’s like to feel boxed in — by fear, by routine, by the stories we tell ourselves about what’s “safe,” “smart,” or “possible. Before I stepped into my calling as a life coach and speaker, I wore many hats. I worked jobs that paid the bills but didn’t ignite my soul.

I worked at St. Francis Hospital. GE Telephone Co., Carson City Hall, and the Carson Sheriff Station. I even worked at Worlds of Curls! But it was during my time in Human Resources at Hughes Aircraft that the shift began. That’s where I started to read more and attend personal development seminars. I began to question the box I had been living in — the mindset, the fear, and the limiting beliefs.

That’s why I created the Personal Development Lab happening this May — to give other women what I needed back then: encouragement, teaching. honest conversation and tools to grow — even when it’s scary ... a sisterhood that reminds you that you’re not alone because growth doesn't happen by accident — it happens by invitation.
