When you’re always super optimistic, like “everything is fine” while the house is literally on fire… girl, you’re not being faithful, you’re being delusional. I love hope just as much as anybody, but if you're acting like your rent ain't due, your heart ain’t breaking, or that job ain't stressing you out, you're not in faith... you're in fantasy. You can't grow if you're too busy pretending everything is perfect.
Now let’s talk about the other side. When you're swimming in negativity like it's a full-time job—head low, no smile, always expecting the worst—whew, that gets heavy. I get it. Life has hands, and sometimes it hits hard. But if you stay in that pit too long, you’ll miss every door God tries to open. You’ll miss the blessing or your breakthrough because you're too busy waiting for the next thing to go wrong.
The truth is, real peace lives somewhere in the middle. Be hopeful, yes. But be awake too. Feel your feelings. Talk to God. Cry if you need to. Laugh when you can. Make adjustments. Pivot. Rest. But don’t fake it. Don’t front. You don’t have to smile through everything, and you don’t have to drown either.
Just take a breath, keep it honest, and move forward with both feet planted and both eyes open. You don’t have to fake it to be faithful. You don’t have to hide your struggle to prove you're strong. You don’t have to have all the answers to start healing. Some pain will never be fully explained, but you can still choose to be present. You can still be a light.
There’s quiet wisdom in accepting what we can’t change. And there’s deep purpose in showing up with love, even while you’re still mending. You don’t need to be perfect to be powerful. Develop your courage and resiliency. Just be honest with yourself and willing to grow. Because being real is part of your healing. When you are ready to make time for a one-on-one session with me, let's talk about it by phone or video. (email me JewelMotivates@gmail.com or text 562.735.5916).
